Why exactly is the Secretary of Homeland Security more worried about the anti-Muslim backlash to Maj Hasan's massacre of 13 American servicemembers than the Muslim's actual massacre of 13 American servicemembers? Is Ms. Napolitano's "homeland" only filled with Muslims? Are those the citizens of the homeland that she has promised to protect? Muslim mass murderers?
Just as others in President Obama's Cabinet and various czar positions have come under fire for their anti-American comments, sentiments, and actions, it is time for an action-oriented movement for the expulsion of Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano. It is time for all citizens to swamp their Representatives' and Senators' emails and phone lines to demand the removal of Ms. Napolitano. Her focus is misdirected and, frankly, treasonous. If her main concern for caution is the completely rational reaction of the average American citizen to be irate at another incident of Islamic terrorism on American soil, then she is so far removed from understanding what this country needs that she needs to be replaced.
We have been attacked yet again, and this time we knew about it beforehand. The FBI already knew of Hasan's attempts to reach out to Al Qaeda. The leadership at Ft Hood already knew about Hasan's hatred of America based on the War against Islamic Terrorism (one war, not two).
The military has failed to create free-thinking leaders in all ranks, and that failure led to Hasan's being able to brutally murder 13 American servicemembers. If the military spent less time on drilling "diversity training" and cultural awareness training into the heads of our military, they might have had time to train our military on identifying the signs of a cold-blooded Islamic killer. They might have had time to more closely investigate the comings and goings of a man who was clearly not in step with the military's cadence.
The military is not meant to be a melting pot of just any Tom, Dick, or Harry that comes off the street. The military is meant to gather those who care about the defense of a Nation. Not the Nation of Islam, either. We serve the United States of America. We defend her against all enemies foreign and domestic. We attack our enemies with a brutal force that sends a message to all other would-be attackers that we will hunt them down in their mountain lairs and desert hide-aways and jungle camps to eradicate them and their followers. But we have not persecuted the war effort in Afghanistan with as much violence and brutality as is necessary. When Major Hasan made the very first anti-American comment, we did not bird-dog him in an attempt to avoid a massacre. We fell asleep on the job. And Ms. Napolitano doesn't want us to wake up.
And here's something else, isn't it scary that when a Palestinian (and what the hell is that? Palestine isn't even a real place) makes anti-American comments repeatedly, the U.S. Army doesn't even take any real notice. Why is that? Because the Army is filled with whiny brats who spout anti-American sentiments. Oh, they don't say the things that Major Hasan said, but they complain so often about the war fronts in Iraq and Afghanistan, that it created white noise. It created such a din of background noise that, by comparison, Hasan's anti-American comments went rather unnoticed.
That's our Army, America. That's our Secretary of Homeland Security. That's the road our current Administration has chosen. Sleep well.
